I finished this book last week and I enjoyed listening to it. It reminded me of school days when we read books about color discrimination. I want to watch the movie to see if the movie and the book run parallel or not. I have read many good reviews of the movie also.The book reminded me of the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. The storyline is completely different, but I believe it was set in the same time period. I like all the characted and due to all the trailers of the movie, I imagined Queen Latifah as August, which made the book more interesting...
Now I am already halfway through A Great and Terrible Beauty and so far it is good. I like the whole "other realm" idea behind it. I can't wait for the end and I am hoping that the library has next two books so I don't have to wait to finish the series.
